Lake Garda
A mediterranean holiday jewel

It doesn’t matter whether you are looking for sporting variety, peace and relaxation, moments of culinary indulgence, the southern attitude to life or a combination of everything... Lake Garda is the right place! The ultimate in holiday happiness can be found here, hidden between olive groves and mountainsides, palms and cypresses, shimmering shades of blue and turquoise and temptingly fragrant cooking pots.

This special part of the world offers a magnificent setting: clear water, romantic villages and historic alleyways, with mountains towering in the background. The climate is mild and Mediterranean throughout the year and provides the perfect conditions for a varied programme of leisure and sporting activities.

For families we recommend visiting the fun parks Gardaland and Aquastudios. If you prefer urban centres you should visit the artistic city of Verona and its jewel, the Arena opera house.

Malcesine for connoisseurs

All towns at Lake Garda are a sight in themselves. Just like a chain of pearls the shore is lined by these beautiful towns with historic buildings and a romantic atmosphere. Visit the main attractions of Castello Scaligero and the Palazzo dei Capitani, enjoy an Aperol Spritz by the lively harbour or stroll through the narrow alleyways of the old town: Malcesine is one of the highlights of northern Lake Garda.

Castelletto di Brenzone

The historic little town of Castelletto di Brenzone nestles up against the mountain slopes of north-eastern Lake Garda. It is a place that invites you to take a stroll and marvel. And proudly shows its seductive side: small, three-storey buildings, picturesque archways, ancient cellars and hidden courtyards. Added to this are numerous little restaurants that tempt visitors with the most delicious aromas of Mediterranean cuisine.

Cassone

The outskirts of Malcesine are a Mediterranean gem of congeniality: the tranquil harbour in particular with its small fishing boats is a coveted photographic subject. The painter, Gustav Klimt, loved the little resort and immortalised it in his painting “Church in Cassone by Lake Garda”. An interesting detail: Cassone is home to the source of the shortest river in the world! The Aril rises above the town, runs through its picturesque centre and then after only 175 metres flows into Lake Garda.

Limone

This enchanting little town on the western shore can be reached from Malcesine in 15 minutes by ferry. Stroll along the Lungomare or through the crooked alleyways of the old town. There is a magical lemon grove, or “Limonaia”, plus an olive press.

Active holidays at Lake Garda

Water sports

Swimming and diving, sailing and surfing, canoeing and kite surfing. Nowhere else is all this better or closer. The safe winds, the protected bays and the numerous sports clubs make Lake Garda one of the best water sport areas in the world. If you prefer the cosy way, you should discover the beauty of the biggest lake in Italy by motor boat.

Biking

The hugely diverse landscape of Lake Garda is especially good for exploring by mountain bike. Excellent cycle paths wind along the entire shoreline and are perfectly suited to cyclists of all ages. They spread out into the hilly hinterland and through the idyllic vineyards. The natural spectacle of Lake Garda is unique and multifaceted.

Tee off!

Ca degli Ulivi golf course is only 20 km from your holiday home. It features 18 championship and 9 executive holes and is not only a highlight from a game point of view, but also from the landscape and architectonic point of view. Directly at the golf course amidst cypresses and olive trees you'll enjoy the view of Lake Garda and Monte Baldo.

Hiking & climbing

A cosy walk or a cycling tour along the lake promenade, an extended hiking or cycling tour in the hillside. The nature adventure at Lake Garda is unique and varied at the same time. In Malcesino you can take the cable cars up to Monte Baldo with an altitude of 2,200 metres. And everywhere around Arco climbers can challenge the imposing steep walls at the lakeside.
